'Vanderpump Rules' Star James Kennedy's Ex Confirms Breakup After His Recent Arrest
“Vanderpump Rules” stars James Kennedy and Ally Lewber are no longer together, Lewber confirmed on social media Wednesday.
The breakup comes a little over a month after Kennedy was arrested in California on suspicion of domestic violence. Lewber shared details about the incident Wednesday, after Kennedy’s attorney confirmed the Burbank City Attorney’s Office won’t be filing charges.
“I am happy that prosecutors decided not to file against James, as I never desired criminal charges,” Lewber wrote in an Instagram story. “We had an argument outside of his home related to him drinking again, however, I was not physically hurt.”
“I was shocked by the headlines and disheartened by how the event was portrayed,” she continued. “We are no longer together, but I’ll always support James and wish him the best with his sobriety and healing. Thank you for your understanding.”
Kennedy, a DJ who rose to fame on the beloved Bravo show, was arrested Dec. 10 at his Los Angeles home after Burbank police officers responded to “an argument between a man and a woman” around 11:30 p.m., a police spokesperson told People at the time.
TMZ reported that Kennedy, born James Kennedy Georgiou, then posted $20,000 bail.
“I was just informed by the Burbank City Attorney’s Office that no charges will be filed against James Kennedy,” his attorney told E! News on Wednesday. “I want to thank them for conducting a thorough and professional review of the matter involving my client.”
The arrest came two weeks after Bravo announced it was rebooting “Vanderpump” with an all-new cast, and reportedly on the same night Kennedy and Lewber attended a party at the home of Kathy Hilton, the mother of Hilton Hotels heiresses Nicky and Paris Hilton.
“Vanderpump” premiered in 2013 but truly entered the zeitgeist in 2023 when an affair between cast members made national headlines and dominated the discourse. Kennedy, a full-time cast member since 2015, had openly discussed his sobriety in recent seasons.
He and Lewber, who also appeared on the show, began dating in 2022 and moved in together the following year. In her Instagram story on Wednesday, Lewber — a singer and an astrologer — thanked her fans for their “support and kindness” during this time.
