UTA Signs Jubilee Media and Founder Jason Y. Lee (EXCLUSIVE)
UTA has signed digital media company Jubilee Media and its founder Jason Y. Lee for representation in all areas.
Jubilee Media is a first of its kind studio that creates content aimed at provoking understanding and fostering human connection across both sides of the political and ideological spectrum. Jubilee is renowned for its viral content, hit original formats like “Surrounded”, creating both short-form and long-form videos, game shows and community-driven content that spark cultural conversations and encourage healthy debates among viewers. In addition to “Surrounded,” their YouTube channels feature popular series like “Middle Ground,” “Odd One Out,” “Versus 1,” “30 vs 1,” and “Ranking.”

The company’s founder Jason Y. Lee launched the company in 2017, and it has since developed an audience of more than 10.75 million subscribers on YouTube and garnered more than 3 billion views across platforms. Jubilee owns a second content channel, Nectar, that centers on love and dating and consistently reaches millions of views on its most prominent videos. Nectar will be launching a next generation dating app in Spring of 2025. Additionally, in collaboration with Concordia Studio and Boardwalk Pictures, Jubilee produced Emmy-nominated documentary “Accepted,” which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2021.
Founder and CEO Lee is a business leader in the creator economy, with a focus on empathy and making a positive impact on the world. After graduating from The Wharton School at UPenn, Jason worked as a consultant at Bain & Company. He also previously worked on the 2007 Obama Campaign and for the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Zambia. Jason stepped away from his successful consulting career to follow his purpose, founding Jubilee Media first as a non-profit, then transitioning to a digital media startup. Jason is a proud Korean American and recently received the Digital Influencer Award at Character Media’s Unforgettable Gala.
UTA’s creator practice launched in 2006 and made UTA the first agency to have its own audio and digital talent division, and the first to have a dedicated gaming and esports division.
