In what’s been a fraught US election campaign, the most recent polls show challenger Joe Biden is on track to win on November 3. But, not everyone looks to the polls for guidance; some look to the stars.
Numerologists and astrologers have tried to predict who will win the election, by looking at what life path numbers and Mercury have to do with electing the leader of the free world.
What is a ‘life path’ number?
Your life path number is considered to be the most important number in your numerological chart. It’s the equivalent of the sun or zodiac sign in astrology. It’s considered key to understanding your life’s purpose, as well as your talents and the obstacles you’ll face. It’s meant to reveal your key ages of maturity, and shows what you are learning, and evolving into.
Sarah Yip, aka The Numbers Queen, is a numerologist, palm reader and psychic, who creates charts based on the sum of a person’s date of birth.
“While our life path, names and personal years are only part of our forecast, they give key insights into our career and relationship directions,” Sarah tells Yahoo.
“Numerology is best used for personality analysis and backing up our intuition. Using it for prediction is never 100 per cent accurate, due to free will. Only the themes in our life are fixed, not always events.”
What’s Donald Trump’s life path number?
Mr Trump was born on 14 June 1946, making him a 31/4 life path ‘Empire Builder’, according to Sarah, though she says some numerologists consider him a Master 22/4, so he can be considered a ‘hybrid’.
Sarah says 4 life paths tend to be restless, ambitious and energetic leaders wanting to leave a legacy, but lasting happiness only comes when they are humble, kind and stop looking for quick wins.
According to World Numerology, life path 4s “can be rigid in your ideas and sometimes too quick in judging your fellow man”. But they are “are orderly and organised, systematic and controlled”.
“Our life path shows our patterns and priorities,” Sarah explains. “At Mr Trump’s childhood turning point age of 4, his family moved to a mansion that his father built. 4 life paths often look up to their fathers, so perhaps this event created a lifelong urge in him to ‘trump’ his Dad’s career.
“At Mr Trump’s adult turning point age of 31, he was working on his first major real estate deal, the controversial renovation of the Commodore Hotel. He also married Ivana and Donald Trump Jr. was born. This was a milestone time, as 4 life paths come to heal their hearts (fourth chakras) after early heartbreaks.
“Mr Trump’s chart reveals that he is hypersensitive, private and has a strong hermit energy in his later years. It takes him decades to forgive and forget. I rarely see people like this in politics due to the amount of energy transfer required. They usually prefer to work with people from a distance.”
But the timing of the election could work in Mr Trump’s favour.
In numerology, 2020 is a 4 Universal Year and 4 life paths have already been in the spotlight (including the Duchess of Sussex, Bill Gates, Bindi Irwin, and Celeste Barber).
Some other numerologists believe the ‘vibrations’ of this number could help those with a life path of 22/4 further achieve their goals. Which could mean a double whammy for Mr Trump.
What’s Joe Biden’s life path number?
Mr Biden was born on 20 November 1942, which gives him a life path number of 2.
“Joe Biden is a 20/2 life path ‘Peacemaker’ in my system,” Sarah says. “Some numerologists consider him a Master 11/2, so I also call him a ‘hybrid’ like Mr Trump. These people are incredibly versatile.”
According to World Numerology, number 2 life-pathers are also considered to be the most underestimated of numbers and “don’t always get the recognition they deserve,” and “are often the real power behind the throne”.
But November could be a big month for Mr Biden.
“Mr Biden’s chart shows a career peak from November 2020, when he goes into his 8 Personal Year of Abundance, which triggers his 8 Destiny,” Sarah says.
“This is why I say he is still in with a chance of winning the US Presidential election. If elected, I wonder if he would step down by Sept-Nov 2021, due to going through a massive conclusions period around then.
“Kamala Harris’ numerology shows a career breakthrough at that time, which suggests they are fated to be running for election together.”
Who will win the US election?
According to Sarah, the numerology shows that both Mr Trump and Mr Biden have a chance of winning the next US Presidential Election. It is still up to the people to decide.
“I see Trump and Biden as neck and neck,” she says.
“We live in nine year cycles in numerology. The last time Mr Trump went through a similar life lesson to 2020 was in 2011, when he was mocked at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner for his political aspirations. Perhaps this was one of the catalysts for him to run for President in 2016 so he could ‘even the score’.
“Mr Trump is in a 3 to 4-year completion phase, which could fit with a further term in power. There is an opportunity for him to become more balanced and visionary by late 2022-2024 through a dramatic change in mindset.”
However, his numbers also suggest changes in his home life.
“If Mr Trump loses the 2020 election, he may leave the U.S. as he has said. Whatever happens, he’ll be craving quiet time from mid-2021 to restore his health,” Sarah says.
Could the planets sway the election?
Funny you should ask. Mercury, known as the planet of communication, will end its retrograde journey on November 3 – the day of the election. Astrologers believe that when Mercury changes direction - which it will do on November 4 – chaos ensues.
This planetary 180-degree shift has prompted speculation from star sign aficionados that chaos could descend on to the voting, with a possible need for a recount, or an expected dispute around votes.
Given Mr Trump’s recent refusal to commit to a peaceful transition of power if he loses, this is hardly surprising.
But it’s not all about Mercury. On election day, Mars, which is known as the planet of action, will also be in retrograde.
Apparently, this was the case during the 1800 election, when Thomas Jefferson was finally elected after a chaotic and anarchic campaign.
Sometimes referred to as the ‘revolution of 1800’, could we expect something similarly revolutionary in 2020?
Astrologers believe all voters will feel on edge on election day, due to the Capricorn stellium (a cluster of planets). This cluster will be in Saturn (authoritative), Pluto (transformative) and Jupiter (expansive).
None the wiser? Apparently, the movements of this cluster will cast a shadow across these planets, to make people feel unforgiving and intense on the big day.
This combination of Mercury changing direction, Mars going backwards, and the Capricorn stellium has never been seen before during a US election, making it unpredictable, according to the stars.
In other words, all bets are off.
In December, Jupiter and Saturn move into Aquarius – which is meant to represent equality, individual freedoms, and fresh starts. Which could suggest Mr Trump’s life path number of 22 means nothing at all.
We’ll have to wait and see.
