While Pacers star point guard Tyrese Haliburton may have pulled up in black loafers for Media Day, no, he doesn’t have a Prada deal on deck for dress shoes. The recent All-Star starter, Olympian, and Nike athlete to date is now a sneaker-free agent, however, with his flipped Swoosh-hiding socks and neutral designer shoes stalling out what could be an upcoming announcement of a new brand partner. Brands including Anta, Puma, and New Balance made aggressive pushes all summer to sign the 24-year-old All-NBA point guard, with a decision looming to begin October. -via boardroom.tv / October 3, 2024

LeBron on Anthony Edwards: “That was the best thing about our team. You know, we had the vets—myself, Steph, KD, AD, Jrue Holiday—and then you had the younger guys, Tyrese Haliburton, Anthony Edwards, Devin Booker. Just to see the excitement that Ant-Man played with, showed off the floor, he wanted to compete against everybody. You probably saw him want to compete versus the Team USA ping pong team. He said he could beat people in swimming, you know. He wanted to compete versus everybody. And just to see that electric and that energy from the young guy, and for us as the older guys remembering at one point having all that energy, it was definitely a blessing for sure to be around.” -via YouTube / September 21, 2024

Tyrese Haliburton loves working up a crowd, and it was no different Tuesday at WWE's NXT show in Orlando, Florida. The Indiana Pacers guard played a part in helping set up the NXT championship match between Ethan Page and Trick Williams. Haliburton had the contract of the match in hand and had to make sure Page and Williams signed it. But before the two wrestlers could come out, he took a verbal jab at the crowd. While introducing some of his teammates, including Myles Turner and James Johnson, who came along with him, the crowd serenaded him with boos. Haliburton had a clever response. -via ESPN / September 18, 2024
