At its opening, the sequel became the biggest box office debut for a natural diaster movie. Twisters finaled at $267.7M and $370.9M. Oppenheimer dropped on Peacock on Feb. 16 earlier this year, a seven-month window from its theatrical release.

Blumhouse/Unviersal’s Five Nights at Freddy’s still remains Peacok’s biggest day and date premiere. That pic based on the videogame opened to $80M, a record box office start for a dynamic window title. At $291.4M worldwide, Freddy’s is also one of the top grossing theatrical day and date streaming titles ever; Warner Bros being a bigger practitioner of that distribution strategy during Covid. Peacock’s other notable Universal theatrical day-and-date feature titles include Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends and the Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson romantic comedy, Marry Me. Given that Freddy’s is day-and-date as opposed to Pay 1, the movie isn’t included in Peacock’s Pay 1 performance ranking.
