Legendary Filmmaker David Lynch Dies At 78
David Lynch has died at 78.
The filmmaker's family announced his death in a post on his verified Facebook page Thursday.
"It is with deep regret that we, his family, announce the passing of the man and the artist, David Lynch. We would appreciate some privacy at this time. There's a big hole in the world now that he's no longer with us. But, as he would say, 'Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole,'" the post read.
"It's a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies all the way," the statement ended. This is seemingly a reference to the director's popular weather reports.
Lynch was best known for visionary storytelling in films like Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive.
He also created the short-lived yet cult classic TV series Twin Peaks, which ran for two seasons from 1990 to 1991. It spawned a 1992 prequel film and a third season in 2017.
This is a developing story...
