A little over a year after Alaska Daily’s cancellation, Hilary Swank is headed back to TV.
The actress — who starred in the aforementioned ABC drama — will recur during Season 3 of Yellowjackets on Paramount+ With Showtime, with the option to become a series regular if the show is picked up for Season 4, our sister site Deadline reports.

* Prime Video’s Pop Culture Jeopardy! with host Colin Jost will premiere Wednesday, Dec. 4. The game show promises a twist on the classic “answer-and-question” format “that combines the academic rigor of Jeopardy! with the excitement and unpredictability of pop culture,” per Amazon. “Contestants, playing in teams of three, will need to be experts in categories from Alternative Rock to The Avengers… Broadway to MMA… Gen Z to Zendaya, as they compete in a tournament-style event for the grand prize of $300,000 and ultimate bragging rights.”
* Stephen Moyer will headline Art Detectives, a new Acorn TV crime drama centered around the Heritage Crime Unit, a police department consisting of art-loving DI Mick Palmer (Moyer) and straight-talking DC Shazia Malik (Nina Singh). Together, they solve murders connected to the world of art and antiques. Production is underway in Belfast, with an eye on a 2025 premiere.
* TBS has greenlit Foul Play, a hidden-camera prank special to be hosted by the Lakers’ Anthony Davis alongside the Impractical Jokers troupe, Deadline reports. In success, Foul Play could be ordered to series.
* Like Water for Chocolate, HBO’s series adaptation of the Laura Esquivel novel from executive producer Salma Hayek Pinault, will premiere Sunday, Nov. 3 on HBO Latino (and stream on Max). Watch a teaser trailer:
