Trinity Rodman Calls Her Father Dennis Rodman's Apology 'a Joke': 'I'm Done'
“Sorry I wasn’t the Dad you wanted me to be but either way I still tried and I still try and never will stop,” Dennis Rodman wrote following his daughter's interview
Trinity Rodman is “done” with her father Dennis Rodman after he posted an apology on social media in reaction to her recent explosive interview revealing their strained relationship.
Earlier this week, the USWNT star spoke about the lack of relationship she has with Dennis in an interview with Alex Cooper on Call Her Daddy on Wednesday, Dec. 18. “He's a person. He's not a dad. Maybe by blood, but nothing else,” Trinity, 22, said while addressing her father’s presence in her life.
A day later Dennis, 63, followed up his daughter’s public revelation with an apology via a lengthy Instagram post.
“Sorry I wasn’t the Dad you wanted me to be but either way I still tried and I still Try and Never will Stop,” his message read in part. “I will keep Trying even when you’re being told as an adult not to respond to my phone calls. I will try even when it’s difficult and if it takes a long time.”

After his public apology, Trinity also took to Instagram, responding with a post on her Stories where she didn’t mince words on how she felt.
"A joke. The response alone. And the attention. Wiping my hands with it and I'm done. Thank you," the Olympic champion wrote.
During the Call Her Daddy interview, Trinity detailed how she and her mother, Michelle Moyer, and her brother DJ, struggled financially when her parents divorced, explaining that they lived in an SUV for a period of time and would see him “once, two, three, four times a year.”
Moyer filed for divorce from Dennis in 2004, but marriage was not dissolved until 2012.
“Before the divorce happened, my dad was actually helping money wise. … He would actually give money to my mom and let us live life a little bit,” Trinity said. “When the divorce happened, it was just like, ‘F--- you guys.’ … We’re getting enough money to pay rent, barely.”

The Washington Spirit star cited her father’s well-publicized struggles with substance abuse and “parties 24/7” that were a constant issue in her childhood.
“He’s an alcoholic. That’s something that I don’t want to say, but I’m just like, f--- it. It’s just the truth,” she said.

Trinity also bluntly admitted that currently she only answers her father’s calls for her own “conscience,” should something happen to him.
“I want to know that I did that. Or if he needed to hear my voice before anything happens,” she said. “That’s why I answer the phone, not for me.”
