Today in sports things, the Kansas City Chiefs played the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night and a bunch of Travis Kelce's teammates were spotted wearing shirts decorated with his face.

Before you jump to the conclusion that the team's Travis tees are somehow connected to Taylor Swift missing his past two games, nope. At least, almost definitely nope. Instead, they appear to be a direct response to claims that Travis hasn't been performing his best during the last few Chiefs games—specifically at last weekend's 9/22 game against the Falcons where he was spotted looking sad on the sidelines:

Travis' teammates have been defending him amid critics saying that "partying all offseason" and "jet-setting around with the most famous person probably in the entire world" has somehow impacted his playing. (Psst: those quotes come from ESPN analyst Todd McShay on The Ryen Russillo Podcast).

In Travis' defense, Chiefs pass rusher George Karlaftis told TMZ that he "hasn’t skipped a beat" and works "his tail off every single day no matter what," adding that Trav is "the greatest tight end to ever play, you could argue. Certainly I think so."

Meanwhile, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes also defended Travis, saying, "The respect factor [teams] have for Travis is unreal...we’re calling a lot of plays for Travis, and it’s like two or three people going to him."
