How to Make a Trader Joe’s Cheesecake 10x Better
It's baking season and that means people will be whipping up cakes, cookies, pies and more, but if you don't have time to spend hours in the kitchen, a no-bake dessert can be a tasty, joyful treat, too!
But if a no-bake dessert is a no-go because you're that busy (and we can appreciate that level of busy), you can hand off most of the baking to your favorite grocery store and then add your own upgrades.
Depending on where you live and what's near you, Costco, Aldi or Trader Joe's are all good spots to stop by for basic desserts that can be the canvas for your culinary creativity. One food creator who really excels at this kind of easy upgrade is @lorafied, who recently shared this hack for making a Trader Joe's cheesecake ten times better, and we can't wait to give it a try! Not only is it simple and cute, but it looks good enough to serve for Thanksgiving. Win, win, win! Here's what you need to know.

How to Turn a Trader Joe's Cheesecake Into a Thanksgiving-Worthy Dessert
Lora shared this hack in a round-up video featuring three ideas for no-bake desserts. For the cheesecake option, you'll need one pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin butter, pumpkin spice pretzels and caramel sauce. All you do is open the cheesecake, place it on a cute platter, spread pumpkin butter on top, cover it with the pretzels and drizzle caramel sauce over the pretzels and down the sides of the cheesecake.
Not only does this no-bake dessert give you an explosion of pumpkin flavor, but you also get lots of different textures. The fluffy cheesecake pairs perfectly with the crunchy pretzels and the caramel sauce pulls everything together.
"They look delicious. And even better.. minimal work! Winner, winner dessert for dinner!!!" someone commented on Lora's post. We can't wait to try this!
We also love how easy it is to customize this dessert. You can use plain pretzels, add chocolate shavings or even top the cheesecake with sliced apples and caramel sauce. There are many possibilities, but the best part is that it's so simple to make.
