Trader Joe’s Brought Back the Favorite Fall Treat We’ve Been Waiting For

It’s that time of year when our favorite stores bring out all the pumpkin-flavored items that we can't get to fast enough—case in point: Trader Joe’s.

This grocer has already been bringing out some of the most sought-after fall-inspired treats, such as its Pumpkin Ice Cream and brand new Pumpkin Spice Mini Sheet Cake that has us reaching for our purse forks again.

Now we're adding another to the list. This seasonal item is one many TJ fans live for this time of year, and like so many other products from this store, it sells out super fast—so hurry over while you can still snag a box (or three).

Trader Joe’s Seasonal Petite Pumpkin Spice Cookies

Trader Joe’s recently brought back its popular fan-favorite fall treat, Petite Pumpkin Spice Cookies, for a limited time, and we can’t wait to devour the whole package.

According to TJ’s website, these little guys are made with a “pumpkin-spiced shortbread dough” to offer a “crunchy and crispy and crumbly” bite. They are also decorated for the season, coated with white or orange icing, providing different warm flavors. The white coating is made of yogurt, so it has more of a tangy taste, while the cookies doused in orange will offer a hint of pumpkin spice.

To finish things off, each cookie is topped with decorative confectionery nonpareils for added texture and sweetness. While the orange cookies are dotted with white nonpareils, the white cookies are embellished in orange.

Last year, when these cookies reappeared in Trader Joe's stores, people took to Reddit to express their love for these cookies with the original post saying, “These are so good,” and that they have a “similar texture to circus animal crackers.”

Others responded with comments like, “I agree! They are so good!” and “Yeah! I’m a fan,” while one said it was “Good to see” that these were back after looking for them in the store. Allrecipes editor Andrea Lobas and her family ate the whole box in one day.
