Tracee Ellis Ross Gives Birthday Shoutout to Diana Ross on 'GMA'
Tracee Ellis Rosshad a special birthday shoutout to deliver while making an appearance on Good Morning America.
The Black-ish actress, who joined the GMA co-hosts during the Monday, April 7 broadcast, had nothing but adoring words to say about her mother Diana Ross, who just celebrated her 81st birthday late last month.
Talking about the music icon and her age-defying beauty, Tracee, 52, said, "She looks like she swallowed the sun, that lady."
"I don't even understand. I'm like how do you get more beautiful?" she added of her famous mama, while quipping, "What's happening here? What's going on?"
"It's good news," Tracee added of her mother's lasting beauty, while adding, "The genes, I'm like, 'can I go in that direction?'"
Although the American Fiction actress wasn't able to spend Diana's birthday with her due to her work schedule, Tracee made it up to her by yelling out, "Happy birthday, Mom!" while live on GMA.
Tracee is the second-born daughter of the "I'm Coming Out" songstress, who is a mother to five adult kids.
In addition to Tracee, Diana is a mother to eldest daughter, Rhonda, 53, whom she shares with Berry Gordy. Tracee, along with Diana's daughter Chudney, 49, are both from her first marriage to Robert Ellis Silberstein.
Diana also has two adult sons, Ross, 37, and Evan, 36, whom she welcomed with second husband Arne Naess Jr.
