Tori Spelling's Son Graduates from Elementary School as She Defends His Choice to Wear Shorts to Ceremony

The '90210' alum shares her five kids with ex Dean McDermott

Tori Spelling's son is moving on to middle school.

On Wednesday, June 12, the 90210 alum, 51, shared a photo on her Instagram of her son Finn as he graduated from fifth grade. Standing behind her graduate, Spelling wore a blue maxi dress and black shoes, placing a hand on Finn's shoulder as they posed by balloons that read "2024."

Finn wore shorts, a baseball tee and Adidas shoes, giving two thumbs up to the camera. "And, just like that I have a 5th grade graduate…" Spelling began her caption.

"Finn Davey I’m so proud of you! Bye elementary school and hello middle school. I love you chat! Disclaimer to the haters : Dress code was shorts FYI bc they had student/teacher kickball aka sports day right b4," Spelling said, defending her son's choice to wear shorts to his elementary school graduation.

Alongside Finn, Spelling shares her four other kids with ex Dean McDermott — Liam, 17, Hattie, 12, Stella, 16 and Beau, 7.

Earlier this month, the mom of five commemorated her daughter Stella's 16th birthday with a heartfelt Instagram tribute. The post featured a video — set to the song "Lovers Rock" by TV Girl — that was filled with photos of Stella over the years.

"My Baby Girl @stella_mcdermott08 is 16 today!" Spelling wrote in the caption, as photos flashed of the teen posing for the camera in various fashionable outfits, wearing face paint, cooking and even taking selfies with her mom.

"Is she my mini me or am I now her mini me?" Spelling continued in the caption. "Will always be my Buggy 🐞. So beautiful inside and out. So wise, funny, creative and best of all KIND. So proud of this human. Love watching her challenge the world as she takes it over."

"They’ll never yet always see her coming," the proud mom finished her caption. "Love you bestie baby. xo."

Spelling also shared photos on Instagram of herself celebrating her youngest son’s graduation from kindergarten.

“Beau Beau 🐻is officially a 1st grader,” Spelling wrote in her caption. “Yesterday he had his end of the year Kindergarten party at school. So proud of this kid! My Baby.”

In the set of images shared, Spelling stood beside her son Beau, who held a certificate. The star had her hair pulled into a bun and rocked a cropped Led Zeppelin T-shirt with a pair of jeans covered in zippers.

Spelling also shared the post on her Instagram Stories and added the song "School’s Out" by Alice Cooper.
