Meet Tommy Edman’s biggest fan: his wife, Kristen Edman.

The Los Angeles Dodgers player made his MLB debut with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2019 after spending a few years in the minor leagues — a transition that meant his "dreams became a reality." In August 2024, he was traded to the Dodgers, leading him to be crowned MVP of the National League Championship Series (NLCS) and earning him a spot in the 2024 World Series against the New York Yankees.

Kristen has been with him through each of those career moments, from attending the early spring training days to joining him on the field to celebrate being World Series-bound.

The couple started dating in January 2017 and married in November 2019, before welcoming their first child in October 2023. Over the years, she has continued to be supportive of his career — even when it was getting in the way of their wedding plans.

"Tommy called me Friday saying he has 'bad news' and that we might have to push our wedding date back because he got THE CALL up! Cue the ugly tears and uncontrollable tremors**," Kristen wrote on Instagram in June 2019, shortly after his first MLB game.

Luckily for Kristen, Tommy's career eventually returned the favor and moved their family back home after the MLB player was traded to the Dodgers.

“The move to the West Coast is actually a move home because I’m from San Diego. It definitely made things a little bit easier for my wife and son to be closer to their family,” he said during a Dodgers press conference ahead of game 1 of the World Series.

She is from San Diego

According to her Facebook profile, Kristen grew up in San Diego with her mom, dad and two sisters. In a December 2019 Instagram tribute, she thanked her parents for "spending countless hours making the backyard look the way it did" and for "making all of the Asian food and providing the Mexican food."

"Thank you for being there for me when I needed it the most," she continued. "And lastly, thank you for praying for my husband even before you knew it was Tommy."

Kristen was a student athlete at Concordia University Irvine for two years before transferring to California State University San Marcos in 2015, per her LinkedIn. She graduated in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in human development, family studies and related services.

She is a real estate agent

According to her LinkedIn, following her graduation she became a teacher in Poway's Unified School District. In October 2022 however, she announced a career change on Instagram, writing that she was "SO dang excited" to start work as a real estate agent in St. Louis.

"Feeling so grateful for this new beginning and I can't wait to see where it leads," she wrote.

She and Tommy started dating in January 2017

Tommy and Kristen first started dating in January 2017, and they made their relationship Instagram official that same month.

"Started with a follow now we here," Tommy wrote alongside a photo of the pair.

The following January, the couple celebrated their one-year anniversary. Less than a year later, Tommy asked Kristen to be his wife in December 2018, while surrounded by their loved ones.

"So glad we had some great family and friends to celebrate this amazing day with us!!! Here’s to forever my love ♥️ 🍾🥂#shesaidyes," Tommy wrote on Instagram.

They married in November 2019

As their wedding date approached, so did baseball season. Tommy and Kristen were meant to get married in October, but they pushed the date back when Tommy was called up to join the St. Louis Cardinals.

Although plans changed, the two eventually tied the knot on Nov. 23, 2019, a day that Tommy described as the "best day ever."

"I got to marry my beautiful best friend surrounded by our amazing family and friends. Here’s to the rest of our lives together my love! ♥️," he wrote on Instagram.

They welcomed their first baby in October 2023

In June 2023, the couple announced that "Baby Edman" was on the way via an Instagram photo of them posing in the Cardinals' dugout with a onesie.

They welcomed a son, Eli Jack Edman, on Oct. 17, 2023. Eli quickly became a baseball fan, joining his mom in supporting Tommy at his games.

For his first birthday, Kristen shared an Instagram video of moments the new parents shared with their son over the last year, captioning it, "Thank you for the happiest year of our lives, sweet boy.

She is one of his biggest supporters

Although the Dodgers player has made it all the way to the 2024 World Series, Kristen has been cheering him on from the start.

"So glad this beautiful girl came to join me at the first spring training of many to come!" Tommy wrote on Instagram in March 2017.

More recently. Kristen has been supporting her husband throughout his World Series journey, attending playoff games with their son and documenting Tommy's wins on Instagram. After the Dodgers clinched their World Series spot, Kristen shared a series of photos of Tommy and their family celebrating on the field.

"WORLD SERIES BOUND 🍾💫," she captioned the snaps.
