Yahoo Lifestyle Tom Brady laments 'difficult situation' in regards to Antonio Brown
Tom Brady was all-in on the Antonio Brown signing.
He reportedly loved the idea when it was presented to him. Brady said he’d be fine with Brown staying at his house. He clearly wanted it to work.

As we know, it didn’t. Brown was a member of the New England Patriots for just 11 days before he got cut, after sending text messages to a woman who accused him of sexual misconduct.
In typical Patriots fashion, Brady didn’t completely open up about what he thought of the entire Brown situation, but he shared a little bit in his weekly Monday morning interview with WEEI radio.
Tom Brady doesn’t say much about Antonio Brown
Brady has become masterful at avoiding any answers that make controversial headlines, and he followed that path with WEEI on Monday.
“I do have a lot of personal feelings, none of which I really care to share,” Brady told WEEI, via ESPN’s Mike Reiss. “It's a difficult situation. That's kind of how I feel.”
However, Brady did offer some insight that wasn’t specifically about Brown but seem to apply to his approach to accepting Brown as a teammate during his short time with the Patriots.
“There's a lot of human elements,” Brady told WEEI, via Reiss’ transcript. “As a player, as a person, I care deeply about my teammates. I want everyone to be the best they can possibly be. From the day I started with this team, even back in college, you try to provide leadership, and you try to care for people. You try to provide whatever you think you can to help them reach their highest potential -- whatever situation it is.”
Patriots roll without Brown
The Patriots did just fine without Brown on Sunday, though it was against the lowly New York Jets. Phillip Dorsett, Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon all had their moments catching passes from Brady. Brady had 306 yards and two touchdowns in an easy 30-14 win.
The Patriots can move on from Brown because they don’t seem to need him. He was an addition that could have made them practically unstoppable, but at 3-0, they look unstoppable without him too.
But the weird saga will be a part of the Patriots’ story this season, and Brady’s efforts to accept Brown into the locker room weren’t unappreciated.
“Love ya champ that was fun,” Brown said in a caption on an Instagram photo of him and Brady.
