Todd Chrisley 'Concerned' for Wife Julie's 'Serious Health Problem' After Prison Setback

Todd Chrisley is worried about his wife Julie Chrisley's well-being while behind bars.

The former reality TV stars are serving prison time following their 2022 conviction for bank fraud and tax evasion. And despite a chance at reducing her time at a resentencing hearing, Julie's initial seven-year sentence was upheld.

Now, Todd, 55, is "concerned" for his wife's wellbeing as she continues serving her original sentence, according to one of the family's attorneys, Jay Surgent.

In a statement made to the New York Post, Surgent said Todd is "extremely disappointed" and "dissatisfied" with the judge's ruling to deny his wife a shorter sentence.

Todd is "concerned about Julie's health and welfare" from behind bars, especially after she's been dealing with "a serious health problem," Surgent told the outlet.

The Chrisleys' lawyer didn't elaborate any further on the status of Julie's health. However, their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, previously revealed on her podcast that her mother's prison doctor said she might have had a possible tumor in 2023.

Savannah, 27, has also spoken out against the judge in her mother's resentencing hearing, after Judge Eleanor L. Ross denied Julie a reduced sentence during the Sept. 25 hearing.

Speaking on the matter during the Tuesday, Oct. 1 episode of her Unlocked podcast, Savannah said, "I truly do believe that this judge, everything that she has done has been in retaliation."

"It has been in retaliation for us exercising our right to an appeal and being granted in part a successful appeal," she continued.

After beginning her initial seven-year sentence in January 2023, Julie's appeal was granted in April 2024 and her sentence was vacated, while her husband's 12-year sentence was upheld. However, Julie's luck stopped there, as her original sentence was later upheld.
