Today hosts Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon could barely contain themselves when their comedian guest Ross Noble cracked a rather risqué joke about a prominent politician live on-air.

Appearing on the TV show on Wednesday morning, the 43-year-old British-born funnyman likened none other than UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson to a wobbly dessert.

“The thing with Boris, right,” the stand-up star said, “to me, it looks like somebody has just taken a bin bag and filled it full of custard and scattered some hair on top of it and then drawn a face on it”.

At this point, Karl and Ally were already giggling away when Ross took his description of the controversial leader even further, roping in Boris’s American counterpart, Donald Trump.

“They have wheeled it out and any other time in history people would have gone ‘What is that? That can't be running the country, look at its hair, look at its weird face’, and then he stands next to Trump and everyone goes, ‘oh yeah, fair enough’,” Ross said.

“The two of them... Can you imagine what's going to happen when the two of them do a press conference outside in the UK with the wind blowing?” he added, mimicking Boris’s infamous blonde hair flapping in the breeze.

Needless to say, Karl and Ally were in stitches by the end of Ross’s gag, with Karl quipping, “There’s just custard anywhere”.

Elsewhere in the chat, Ross - who lost his Melbourne home during the devastating 2009 bushfires - pledged to support regional communities during his “Humournoid” comedy tour this February.
