TikTok Star Charli D’Amelio to Make Broadway Debut in ‘& Juliet’ (EXCLUSIVE)
TikTok Star Charli D’Amelio will make her Broadway debut in the jukebox musical “& Juliet,” a revisionist take on Shakespeare’s classic tale of star-crossed lovers.
D’Amelio will join the ensemble in the part of Charmian, which has been described by producers as a “dance-heavy role.” She will begin performances on Oct. 29 for a limited three-month engagement through Jan. 19, 2025.

The 20-year-old D’Amelio grew up dancing competitively before joining TikTok and becoming one of the most-followed people on the platform. In 2022, she competed on “Dancing With the Stars” and won the coveted Mirror Ball trophy during the 31st season. D’Amelio also stars in the Hulu reality TV series “The D’Amelio Show” with her family.
“To be able to make my Broadway debut – especially in the cast of ‘& Juliet’ — is truly a dream come true, and I can’t wait to share this experience with everyone,” D’Amelio said in a statement.
“& Juliet” opened on Broadway in 2022 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre and was nominated for nine Tony awards, including best musical. It uses the music of Swedish mega-producer Max Martin to imagine what would happen if Juliet didn’t die at the end of “Romeo & Juliet.” Her second chance at love and life is scored to pop anthems like Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone,” Britney Spears’ “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman” and “Overprotected,” Katy Perry’s “Roar,” Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way” and Demi Lovato’s “Confident.”
Variety positively reviewed “& Juliet,” calling it “exactly the show Broadway needs right now: fun, exuberant, supremely joyful, hilarious, and excellently performed by a talented and diverse cast. The world is crumbling around us; we might as well dance to pop songs and throw some glitter in the air.”
