'Who Threw This?' Zach Bryan Calls Out Concertgoer For Pelting Object Onto Stage
There are many things that should be onstage during a concert performance — but random objects from the crowd are not among them.
During a recent performance on Nov. 23, country singer Zach Bryan stopped his show in Tacoma, Washington, after an unidentified item made its way onstage.
In a video posted to Instagram, you can see the object appear to hit Bryan’s guitarist. Bryan stops his performance and asks, “Who threw this? Who was it? Do we know?”
After the question, Bryan declares, “Don’t throw shit at concerts,” to applause. He then doubles back and gets on the mic to state, “If you guys do know who threw it, we can get them out of here.”
This act follows a long line of incidents of concertgoers hurling objects at performers.
Adele addressed the unsettling trend during one of her Las Vegas residency shows in July 2023. The “Rolling in the Deep” artist had a simple request for attendees: “Stop throwing things.”
“Have you noticed how people are like, forgetting fucking show etiquette at the moment? People just throwing shit onstage, have you seen them?” Adele asked her fans, as seen in a TikTok shared by an attendee.
“I fucking dare you. Dare you to throw something at me and I’ll fucking kill you,” she joked before playfully throwing a T-shirt into the crowd.
Artists such as Charlie Pugh, Ari Lennox and Latto have also had to contend with this issue at concerts.
