This 'lightweight but powerful' Electrolux stick vacuum is over 50% off at Amazon — zap it up for $143

The 2-in-1 Electrolux Ergorapido Stick Cleaner has a built-in handheld vac, LED lights and an easy steering system.

For many of us, spring conjures up thoughts of colorful tulips and rabbits frolicking about. But if your reality is leaning more "dust bunny" and less "Thumper," you can remedy that with a strong vacuum. Amazon shoppers speak highly of this one: the Electrolux Ergorapido Stick Cleaner, which is currently on major sale. Designed to be less bulky than your average upright vac, this sleek 2-in-1 appliance features a handheld dirt-sucker-upper you can pop right out. The crumbs and hair (not to be confused with "hare") on your floors, stairs and furniture don't stand a chance.

At 7.5 pounds, this attractive vac won't make you feel like you're training for the Olympics when you move it from room to room.

Our price trackers tell us that this is the lowest this vac has ever been marked down to — it's over 50% off, bringing the price down to $143 (from $299). When you consider how much cordless vacuums from brands like Dyson go for (the least expensive model at Amazon is on sale for $274, and it's only for in-between cleanings), this is quite the bargain.

The first thing that caught my eye about this stick vac was, admittedly, its looks: chic white color, curved handle ... this ain't your eyesore of a vacuum from the '80s! But aesthetics alone do not an effective appliance make; functionality is key.

With that in mind, this vac has several features that set it apart. For starters, it boasts 180° EasySteer technology, which, in layman's terms, means it's super flexible for getting under couches and into smaller spaces. Plus, there's a BrushRoll Clean function, which allows you to remove stuck-on hair from the brush with the push of a button for more efficient cleaning, as well as built-in LED lights to illuminate dark corners.

You'll get up to 48 minutes of use per charge — long enough to clean several rooms or even your entire house. And speaking of charge, it goes without saying that this vac is battery-powered. Hooray for no cords!

It's a stick! It's a handheld! It's ... Super Vac! (Amazon)

The Electrolux Ergorapido Stick Cleaner has garnered an impressive 4.6-star average rating from Amazon customers, some of whom say they prefer it to pricier brands.

"Wasn't sure about the suction," admitted one user, "but it's awesome. ... It’s lightweight but powerful. Great for thin rugs and hardwood. Very user-friendly."

"This vacuum saves my sanity when it comes to dog hair," shared another happy buyer. "This one has a headlight so you can see what you are doing. Our six-month-old lab started shedding his puppy coat and I had been sweeping several times a day. When my new vacuum arrived, I did the whole main floor, which is all hardwood and several area rugs. So easy to use and empty. More than enough power as well."

"Great little machine," raved a third. "As for runtime, I can do the whole house with this thing on high power. We bought a Dyson stick vac a few years ago, and on high power, you got about six minutes of runtime and that thing cost almost $400 ... this one ... is a far better machine as far as I'm concerned."

Several shoppers agreed with this reviewer's note: "The only drawback to this one is the dirt receptacle is smaller and needs to be emptied more frequently." That said, they added, "The handheld ... is very handy and easy to use."

"The only negative is that the attachment for the handheld is placed on the charging station behind where the vacuum stands as it is stored/charging," wrote a final fan. "If I only want to use the handheld and I need the attachment on, I have to remove the upright part to grab the attachment. I wish they would have located it in a more convenient way ... It’s a minor complaint and not enough to knock a star off."

Don't even think about challenging this vac to a Limbo competition — it'll win every time.

And when it comes to wiping up wet messes? These ingenious mop slippers just might be the coolest things ever invented.

No more lugging out a big mop and bucket — clean while you walk!

"These mop slippers are my new favorite find," wrote one Yahoo staffer. "I slip them on each morning when I get out of bed, and my feet feel warm and cared for. Throughout the day they get me off my butt and onto my feet. Instead of noting (with dread) a smattering of crumbs or a film of dust, I attack it on my way to check the mail or while making lunch."
