Welcome to the latest scheduled event in the awards season calendar: the 2025 BAFTAs. After the turn of the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards and the Grammys so far this year, the A-list has headed over to this side of the pond for what is essentially the biggest night in the British film industry. No surprise then the annual event always draws an impressive attendance on the red carpet.
This time around, that includes Ariana Grande, who is nominated for her role in Wicked (obvs). Despite the pop star and actress opting to channel her character of Glinda the Good Witch repeatedly on the red carpet while promoting the film in butterfly necklaces and enchanting tulle gowns, she made a notable departure in her attire for this evening's event.
Ari showed up wearing a plunging V-neck gown, the black velvet bodice paired with a voluminous silk taffeta peach skirt that was all kinds of OTT. The custom Louis Vuitton creation is far more edgy than anything Glinda would dare wear, but Ariana pulled it off with ease. She accessorized with a gorgeous diamond necklace and a black bow in her hair, styled in an elegant high bun.
Ariana is nominated for Best Supporting Actress this evening, along with Selena Gomez for Emilia Pérez, Felicity Jones for The Brutalist, Jamie Lee Curtis for The Last Showgirl, Isabella Rossellini for Conclave and Zoe Saldaña for Emilia Pérez.
Ari is also nominated for an Oscar in the Best Supporting Actress category, acknowledging the honour on Instagram.
Yep, this awards szn is a bigger deal than normal for Ari!
