The Voice moment that made Sonia Kruger 'jealous of Nicole Kidman'

Sonia Kruger has opened up about hosting The Voice Australia alongside the star-studded judging panel, saying she was blown away by how nice Keith Urban is.

The 56-year-old, who has been in a relationship with partner Craig McPherson, jokingly said she’s jealous of his Aussie actress wife, Nicole Kidman.

“I remember standing on stage one night and even though I’ve presented a lot of shows over the years, I still get nervous at times,” she said in an interview with WHO.

“And I was trying to say something and I got it completely wrong. It all went really silent in the room, and I felt all the blood coming up to my face. And Keith just looked at me and said, ‘You got this, Sonia.’ And at that moment, I was just so jealous of Nicole Kidman!”

Indeed, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have one of the most wholesome Hollywood relationships and are constantly spotted looking cosy on red carpets together.

They have been married for 15 years, have two beautiful daughters and spend their time between work projects either at their home in Nashville or Sydney.

However, their path to love hasn’t been plain sailing, with Nicole famously marrying Tom Cruise in 1991 and adopted two children Isabella Jane, now 28, and Connor Anthony, now 26 during their marriage.

Keith was also battling with addiction and booked himself into the Betty Ford Clinic in California after admitting to drug abuse.

He’s previously said meeting Nicole changed his life. "Meeting her and getting married wasn't life-changing, it was life-beginning," Keith told CBS Sunday Morning. "It was literally, like, 'Okay, life starts.'"

The finale of The Voice is due to air on Channel Seven on Sunday night, with Arlo Sim from Team Keith being a hot favourite to take out the crown.
