One of The Veronicas 'had to hide on a balcony' at an awards afterparty

The Veronicas have seen their fair share of what goes on behind the scenes in the music business after having been in the industry for over a decade.

Now they’ve shared some insider scoop on what’s gone down in their experience at the so-called craziest of places on the music scene, awards show afterparties.

During an appearance on Build Series Sydney, 34-year-old Jessica Origliasso revealed there was once a time someone “wanted to beat me up” after she flirted with their partner.

“I had someone who I was sort of like flirting with and seeing at this afterparty after this big awards show,” revealed Jess.

“Then their girlfriend – I didn’t know they had a girlfriend – came in looking for them and like stormed in and wanted to beat me up!”

“Wait who was that? I don’t know if I’ve ever heard that story,” her twin sister Lisa then asked.

Jess continued her story, revealing exactly what happened next.

“I had to hide on the balcony and my manager had to hold the door so that this girl couldn’t come and find me and I’m like, ‘I didn’t even know that this person had a girlfriend. I don’t know why I’m being targeted’.

“That’s the kind of crazy stuff that goes down [at afterparties].”

“Let me say this,” Lisa then chimed in. “Everything you can possibly imagine that’s crazy and going on at those kinds of things, I promise you, it’s true.

“All that stuff happens. It’s insane. It’s a crazy, crazy industry.”

The talented twins’ new interview comes as they’re promoting their new single, Think Of Me.
