The Regime: Kate Winslet leads in this year's hottest political drama

BINGE's latest limited series tells the story of one year within the walls of the palace of a modern European regime as it begins to unravel.

If Succession had you hooked from start to finish, you won't want to miss the latest series set to premiere on BINGE, The Regime. Starring Kate Winslet, the limited series is set against the backdrop of a modern European autocracy, promising viewers a compelling narrative brimming with political intrigue and power struggles.

Scheduled to run for a total of six episodes, the first instalment is set to premier on March 4 on BINGE, with subsequent episodes airing weekly.

The Regime sees Kate Winslet take centre stage as the Chancellor of a fictional Central European autocracy. Building on her celebrated collaborations with HBO in Mildred Pierce and Mare of Easttown, Winslet's involvement sets a high bar for The Regime.

A stellar cast

Alongside Winslet, the series features a talented ensemble cast, including Hugh Grant, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts, Guillaume Gallienne and Martha Plimpton.

Schoenaerts brings international acclaim to the series, with recognition for roles in the Belgian thriller Bullhead and the French romantic drama Rust & Bone, alongside Marion Cotillard. His English-language repertoire includes notable films like The Danish Girl, Far From the Madding Crowd, The Mustang, and The Old Guard.

Alongside Schoenaerts is Guillaume Gallienne, known for his standout performance in The French Dispatch, marking another compelling addition to the cast.

Directed by Stephen Frears (The Queen) and Jessica Hobbs (The Crown), The Regime showcases a wealth of talent both behind and in front of the camera, offering extensive expertise in the realms of political and historical drama.

Succession writer, Will Tracy, serves as writer, executive producer, and showrunner of The Regime.

Shot on location in Austria and the UK, the series captures the breathtaking beauty of Vienna's historic Liechtenstein Garden Palace.

While specific plot details are still under wraps, the official trailer offers tantalising hints of a riveting storyline focused on the unraveling of a regime.
