The Project’s Tommy Little has been rushed to hospital but in true Tommy Little form, he’s found the funny side of the serious situation.
The 34-year-old comedian sparked serious concerns amongst his fans when he uploaded two photos of himself lying in a Gold Coast hospital bed, to his Instagram account, with his arm hooked up to an IV drip.
Tommy told his 213,000 fans not to worry and focused on the fact that he was wearing odd socks when he made his hospital dash.
“For years my mum’s been telling me to grow the f**k up and start wearing matching socks and to get private health insurance,” Tommy wrote in his post.
“Anyway, years later, here I am, wearing odd socks in a public hospital.
“The upside is that Australia is awesome. All the nurses and doctors here on the Goldy are the absolute best and thanks to them I’m on the mend.
“Feeling very lucky to have been born here....Australia I mean, not hospital....but I guess both are lucky....anyway also on the upside, GO MAROONS!!!!!!!!” he finished the post, referencing the State of Origin series which they eventually lost.
While it’s still not clear why Tommy was in hospital, one photo shows an inhaler on the bed, leading people to believe the funnyman must have had an intense asthma attack.
“You can’t tell us your in hospital and not tell us why,” one concerned fan wrote, to which another fan responses saying: “asthma. There’s Ventolin in the picture and a spacer.”
Another person agreed, saying it seems Tommy had an asthma attack during the night.
Hopefully Tommy will be back up and running soon, as the star is not just a host on The Project, but also a co-host on the HIT network’s Carrie and Tommy show.
