"Over the Christmas holidays, we were very blessed. Norm and I found out we were pregnant," Eva began through tears. "When I was in lockdown with Covid, I started bleeding and unfortunately I lost the baby. It hasn't happened to me before."

Because she had Covid at the time, Jess was unable to leave isolation and visit a doctor in person.

"I wanted to talk about it because it's still so common. We were so early but you grieve a child you never had."

Jess and Norm are parents to Fred, six, and daughter Matilda, four.

Sharing a video of the moment to Instagram, Jess wrote, "1 in 4 people suffer a miscarriage. Mine is pretty raw, and I wasn’t going to talk about it. But was sick of having to put on a jovial mask when you’re crying on the inside."

She continued, "To those who have been through it, I’m so sorry and I’m here for you. For those that will, I’m so sorry and I’m here for you x You don’t have to do it alone and it’s not your fault."

Bianca Chatfield commented, "Thinking of you guys," while Jack Vidgen added, "I’m so sorry Jess. Love you so much."

Jana Hocking added, "You so much my strong, courageous, smart, gorgeous friend."

Others thanked Jess for her courage in sharing the story, while some added that they were crying along with her.

"I’m so sorry for your loss," one user commented. "This had me in tears for you. Sending love. That was just amazing for you to share that, you legend."
