Terrifying moment Aussie mum sees another child’s room on her baby monitor

A mum has spoken out about her horror, after she looked at her baby monitor only to see another child’s room on the screen.

Edana Day, from Mandruah in WA, bought the Uniden wireless monitor so she could keep an eye on her eight-month-old baby girl.

She said she logged in exactly how it was explained on the instructions., however, she couldn’t believe it when the room on the screen wasn’t her daughter’s.

“I logged in through what the instructions told me to and it wasn’t my daughter’s bedroom.” Edana told 9News.

“It was somebody else’s bedroom.”

Now, Edana is too scared to use the monitor, which needs a QR code and a password to be activated.

Edana is afraid that anybody in the world could just log in and see her daughter’s bedroom.

“A predator could buy this camera, put that password in and have the opportunity to see any child sleeping in their bed,” she said.

“ I feel sick.”

A spokesperson from Uniden told the Mirror that they can’t comment on Edana’s case until her monitor has been reviewed and verified.
