Teeny feels the pressure in “Survivor 47” exclusive deleted scene
Tree Mail is to blame!
One of the understated joys of playing Survivor is receiving a dumb rhyming message on parchment. Tree Mail! We're talking about Tree Mail! Because there is so much downtime on Survivor just kind of sitting around waiting for something to happen, when a secretly coded message with clues shows up, it automatically becomes the belle of the ball as players attempt to decipher its hidden meaning.
Witness the exclusive deleted scene we have from this week's episode of Survivor 47. Teeny Chirichillo returns to camp with the latest coded transmission. "So much fun with such high stakes, but you'll still go through so much," Teeny reads from the paper. "The only assurance you don't leave tonight is to have a subtle touch." This is followed by lots of debate and discussion about what the upcoming immunity challenge could possibly be. Is there a snake involved? Another ball challenge? More stacking? An obstacle course? Puzzles? Balancing? So many theories!

Eventually, the players all settle on the word "fun," perhaps taking comfort that fun generally tends to better than no fun. But the reader of that parchment seems to be straddling both of those worlds when it comes to the game of Survivor itself, and Teeny tells us all about it. "This next vote is so hinged on the immunity challenge," Teeny explains. "If Sam does not win the challenge, I want Sam out of this game."
Okay, that's not so surprising considering all the footage we saw on this week's episode of Teeny blasting Sam after he chose to bring Andy Rueda and Genevieve Mushaluk on the reward feast. But as any good Survivor player (or Sam impersonator) will tell you, one always has to have a backup plan. "However, if Sam wins the challenge, that's where things are going to get tricky," Teeny acknowledges. "There are three votes left, so the order of things is crucial to me getting to the end."

And with the end now in sight, that has ramped up both the intensity and importance of nailing that order of things. "It feels like I'm running out of time to make the decisions," Teeny says. "It feels like I don't know what decision will impact the next one. And I feel like I'm in a good spot, which is great, but it's also so much pressure, because one wrong move and I could flounder in the position I'm in."

Of course, that one wrong move of splitting the vote and watching Sam sail through Tribal Council would then transpire just a few hours later. WHOOPS!
