'Teen Mom's Catelynn Baltierra Sends a Pointed Message to Daughter Carly's Adoptive Parents

In 2009, 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom stars Catelynn (née Lowell) and Tyler Baltierra placed their daughter, Carly, for adoption. They have maintained limited contact with their biological child through the years—thanks to having an open adoption—at the discretion of her adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa Davis.

However, Catelynn recently sent a pointed message to Carly's adoptive mom and dad after they blocked her.

Catelynn, who has since welcomed three more children with Tyler, took to her Instagram Story on Monday, Sept. 9 to publicly vent her frustrations.

"Adoption is crazy.. I'm blocked all because of me sending updates and pictures of her sisters.. how is that fair for Carly and her siblings?" the MTV reality star wrote. "It's sad for sure.. But, makes me sad for the kids."

She continued, "When you're a bio mom you have no say. no control..all I can do is show Carly in the future how much I tried and continued to do so... she can make the decision herself to understand who shut who out."

Also in her Instagram Story, Catelynn shared a screen recording of scrolling through unanswered text messages. "Literally ignored for months then just blocked," she captioned the segment. "Hurts my heart for all the kids involved."

The upset mom declared she "gave them one of my biggest gifts ever.. A child I grew and love so deeply." She vowed "not to let them take my voice," explaining that she posted publicly about the situation "so that hopefully Carly will see it and see I have always tried."

Catelynn speculated that the Davises are "scared/threatened" because Carly "would ask questions about why we don't get together more, why we can't just fly to her for a weekend etc."

"I will ALWAYS support Carly loving her parents! They love her and raised her!" Catelynn wrote. "But the fact that they keep us distant and Carly's siblings distant does not help Carly. anyone would know that if they were adoptee informed."

Some fans criticized Catelynn for airing out her grievances publicly, and the Teen Mom star addressed that in her Instagram Story, too.

"I love how people say that I'm putting them on 'blast' when I am literally just sharing my own feelings, not calling them any hurtful names or anything," she shared.

Following Carly's adoption, Catelynn and Tyler welcomed three more daughters, Rya, 3, Vaeda, 5, and Novalee, 9. The couple married in 2015.
