Taylor Swift recently trademarked "Female Rage: The Musical"—and now, fans are convinced she is about to make a major career move.
On May 11, TAS Rights Management submitted a trademark application for the phrase she used to describe her new Eras Tour set for The Tortured Poets Department, according to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The company requested to register the trademark for musical sound recordings, musical video recordings, journals, notebooks, bags, jewelry, drink containers, clothes and more.
As of writing, the patent and trademark office indicated the application met minimum filing requirements but "has not yet been assigned to an examiner."

Naturally, Swifties already have theories about what this new patent could mean, beyond merchandise.
One X (formerly Twitter) user predicted: “Female Rage: The Musical” will be a film that will include her performances of the TTPD section on The Eras, the behind the scenes, rehearsals and preparation of her and her dancers, and a large-scale visual package to promote the album, with narration by Taylor Swift."

Meanwhile, others hoped Swift might eventually create/star in an actual musical. Someone on TikTok commented, "Please let this either be coming to Broadway or to the sphere in Vegas 😘🥰."
