Taylor Swift Subtly Supported Travis Kelce Before He Had to Miss the 2025 Grammys
Her outfit wasn't her only nod to her boyfriend.
Taylor Swift may have attended the Grammys without her boyfriend Travis Kelce last night, but it seems the pair are still being just as supportive of each other as ever. On the day of the awards ceremony, Swift made a subtle gesture of support for her boyfriend, liking an Instagram post from the official Kansas City Chiefs account that showed photos of Kelce and the team arriving in New Orleans in preparation for next weekend's Super Bowl.
“Big Yeti in the Big Easy!" read the caption, referring to Kelce and his all-yellow travel outfit. Kelce was not present at the 2025 Grammys, where Swift was up for six awards, because of his NFL commitments. His team is due to play in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9 and, as People previously reported, the Grammy Awards coincided with the team's travel day.
Swift's social media activity wasn't her only nod to Kelce. For the show, she wore a structural minidress by Vivienne Westwood—and her look was filled with subtle nods to her boyfriend and her music. Not only was the dress the perfect shade of Chiefs red, but Swift also wore a custom gold garter around her thigh with a "T" charm. She also walked out onto the stage to present the Grammy for Country Album of the Year to her song "So High School," which was inspired by Kelce.
Although some fans had hoped that Kelce and Swift would make their red carpet debut at this year's Grammys, it seems that the NFL and the music industry schedules conflicted once again, just as they did one year earlier.
“I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for, but on Saturday I’ve got practice and Sunday’s a travel day," explained Kelce last year during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. "I’ve got to get ready for this big old Super Bowl that we’ve got in a week."
As a source told Entertainment Tonight this year, the pair understood each other's work commitments took precedence. “Although Travis would have loved to be with Taylor...she feels so supported by him and knows he will be cheering her on,” said the source. And with one little like, it seems that Swift is also cheering on Kelce from afar.
While Kelce couldn't make it to the Grammys, Swift will likely make an appearance at the Super Bowl to cheer Kelce on from the VIP suite, just as she did last year.
