Taylor Swift named Spotify Wrapped Global Artist of the Year for second year in a row
Try and come for Taylor Swift's job. The Eras Tour singer is Spotify's 2024 Global Top Artist for the second year in a row with three of her albums in the Top 10.
The "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" singer had an impressive 26.6 billion streams globally. No surprise, the most-streamed album globally was "The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology." As part of the marketing for the pop album's release, Spotify built a library installation in Los Angeles. Fans lined up for hours to take photos in front of the library shelves riddled with Easter eggs.
Following the April 19 release, Swift broke a monumental record by becoming the first artist to reach a billion streams for an album in five days. Not to mention she had an impressive 300 million streams in a single day.

The "Tortured Poets" album required no publicity as the "Fortnight" singer incorporated seven tracks into the second year of her record-shattering Eras Tour. When debuting the new set in Paris, Swift told the sold-out crowd, "We started planning this surprise for you eight or nine months ago, and then when we got two months off from the Eras Tour, we really didn't take any time off at all. We just went directly back into rehearsals, so I'd like to give it up to my crew, my dancers, my band."
At a regular clip throughout the spring and summer, Swift dropped various remixes and acoustic versions of her "Tortured Poets" songs in addition to incorporating every one of the remaining 24 tracks into her acoustic, surprise set.

Also featured in the Spotify Wrapped Top 10 are Swift's latest rerecord, "1989 (Taylor's Version)," and her pink-skied album "Lover."
Although the singer-songwriter reigns at No. 1 on the Top 10 global artists and albums lists, only "Cruel Summer" made the Top 10 most-streamed songs globally. Two artists who opened for Swift on the Eras Tour sparkled at the top of the songs list.

The singer may mention this accolade and receiving the Apple Music artist of the year on Tuesday during her final shows in Vancouver, Canada. She will wrap the Eras Tour on Dec. 8.
