Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid on Opposite Sides of the Super Bowl This Year

The Super Bowl is causing a little (playful) drama between Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid, who are rooting for opposite teams, Page Six reports. Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. Bradley Cooper, Hadid’s partner, is a big Philadelphia Eagles fan. Hadid and Cooper were recently seen together at the Eagles’ playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Chiefs will face the Eagles on February 9 in New Orleans. Ahead of the big game, a source told Page Six that Hadid and Swift, who are longtime friends, “have been teasing each other.” Hadid has personal ties to the Eagles, the source added: “She’s not only a fan because Bradley is but also because she owns a farm in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Gigi has fun cheering the Eagles on and also comforting Bradley when he gets stressed watching them play.”

The insider added that “things might get heated between Taylor and Gigi, but ultimately it’s all love between them.”

Prior to dating Kelce, Swift told Time in a December 2023 interview that she hadn’t really followed the NFL. “Football is awesome, it turns out,” she said. “I’ve been missing out my whole life.”

She also addressed the attention her presence at games receives, saying, “I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in. There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the-camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”

She said that overall, “I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”
