Taylor Swift fans are celebrating the way "karma" found Philadelphia Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson after he made vulgar comments about Travis Kelce's pop star girlfriend.
On March 11, the Eagles traded Gardner-Johnson to the Houston Texans just over one month after Super Bowl LIX.
The bold move came after the Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 at the 2025 Super Bowl in February. Swift attended the big game to cheer on her tight end boyfriend despite ongoing backlash from some NFL fans.
After his team won, Gardner-Johnson wore a hooded sweatshirt that read “Swifties Can LIX My Balls” during a Super Bowl celebration parade. He also hinted that the Chiefs might have won if Kelce hadn't broken up with his ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole.
“Should’ve stayed w that thick s--t," he wrote on a photo of himself and Kelce from the Feb. 9 matchup shared to his Instagram Stories.

After hearing about Gardner-Johnson's trade, Swifties took to social media to revel in the cosmic justice.
One X user pointed out, “The Eagles probably traded CJ Gardner-Johnson partly because of the Taylor Swift thing. Let’s not lie here.”
Another fan shared via X, "Taylor Swift somehow worked her magic to get CJ Gardner-Johnson traded out of Philly after that parade shirt."
