Taylor Swift’s Bassist Makes Fans ‘Cry’ With Mid-Concert Photos and Tribute to Singer
Amos Heller, a musician who has spent more than 15 years touring with Taylor Swift, shared an emotional message on social media marking the end of the pop superstar’s hit international Eras Tour.
Heller, who plays bass and keys for Swift, posted a brief initial reaction to the tour’s end on Instagram on Monday, Dec. 9. After first kicking off in Arizona back in March 2023, the tour ended with one final performance in Canada at Vancouver’s BC Place on Sunday, Dec. 8.

In his Monday post, Heller admitted he didn’t yet “know how I feel” as he shared a photo of his wrist decked out with friendship bracelets. “You’re the best fans in the world. In the world,” he reiterated. “Thank you for your effort, your planning, your kindness. Miss you already. Thank you. See you soon.”
Heller appeared to find himself better able to express his feelings about the tour with a subsequent post on Instagram on Tuesday, Dec. 10. After first addressing some of the challenges of touring, such as jet lag and time spent away from family, Heller reflected on “feeling like a gladiator” when he stepped onstage for Eras Tour performances, which he said required “the very best I am capable of.”
“This is the best I can do now,” Heller wrote. “It’s a completed work. We watched it go from What If to How Will It Be to Here We Are to Almost Done to Done. The record books are closed with fresh ink on a lot of pages. I’ve emerged changed. As a player, performer, person, partner.”
After writing that he feels “so much love and gratitude to be a part of this community,” Heller’s lengthy post focused on Swift. “You command so much respect and admiration from everyone who’s fortunate enough to add their effort to yours,” he wrote. “Your blend of focus, heart, stamina and joy calls forth the best of everyone around you. Thank you for trusting me with my part of your vision. It was the ride of a lifetime. I love you. Long live.”
Heller’s post, which also included five snapshots showing Heller and Swift performing onstage, as well as one final video of the tour’s dancers, was met with love and words of thanks from Swifties online.
“Why am I crying 🥹🫶🏻,” one fan wrote.
“This was the most joyful and emotional ending of a tour that I’ve ever seen,” an Instagram user declared as a second agreed that the tour “Changed the world ❤️.”
“Thank you ❤️,” a third simply shared.
"What a beautiful tribute," someone else gushed. "It was a delight and pleasure to see you and your team perform. Long live!! ❤️."
"oh my gosh, that just made me cry," a different fan admitted. "we love you!!! thank you for everything. long live the eras tour ❤️."
"How many times will I cry about this tour ending?" one more asked. "The limit does not exist"
