Yahoo Lifestyle Taylor Swift Appears To Honor Travis Kelce On The Grammys Red Carpet
Taylor Swift turned up at Sunday’s Grammy Awards wearing a sparkling ensemble that appeared to be a wink at her boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce.
The music superstar, who was nominated for six awards and was one of the evening’s presenters, walked the red carpet in a red Vivienne Westwood minidress.
She also wore ruby jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz, including a leg chain that featured a charm in the shape of the letter “T.”
Swift has worn red on many occasions, even referencing the color on the title track of her smash 2012 album. Given the timing, however, many fans were quick to interpret both her gown and sexy accessory as a tribute to Kelce, who is gearing up for his third consecutive Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs next week.
“She has a T chain for Travis on her leg. I can’t cope,” one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Added another: “The face of a woman who knows she just broke the internet!! Taylor Allison Swift, we know what you’re doing with that T chain... we like that shit so keep it up!”
As others pointed out, the chain’s placement appeared to be an Easter egg in its own right. Swift’s 2024 album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” which is said to be inspired in part by her relationship with Kelce, includes the track “Guilty as Sin?” that features the lyrics: “What if he’s written ‘mine’ on my upper thigh?”
The 2025 Grammys were, in some respects, already a victory lap for Swift, who used one of her acceptance speeches at last year’s ceremony to confirm the release of “The Tortured Poets Department.”
If “The Tortured Poets Department” nabs Album of the Year, Swift will break her own record as the only artist in history with five wins in the category.
