Target's New Game-Changing Snack Is the Best $5 You'll Spend This Week

There are few treats on the market that have a following larger than that of Reese’s. The flavor combo, chocolate and peanut butter, is simple, but there’s something about the proprietary Reese’s ratio that tastes better than any slapstick knockoff could ever hope for.

Creamy, unctuous peanut butter perfectly balanced by rich milk chocolate, all wrapped up into an easily poppable treat that has continued to mystify fans since its inception in 1928. Beyond the brand’s magnum opus Reese’s Cup, in order to continue to garner the market share and attention of new audiences, they’ve had to innovate beyond the OG more times than one.

From white chocolate versions of the classic treat to egg-shaped offerings and ones shaped like hearts, there’s nothing the iconic candy brand hasn’t infused with their signature flavor. You can even snag boxes of Reese’s Puffs cereal if you’re craving that chocolate peanut buttery goodness for breakfast.

It would seem that nothing could make the winning flavor combo better than it already is, but of course, there’s always something better. And the only thing that could make a Reese’s Cup more craveable than it already is, is wrapping it in salty, crunchy pretzels.

That’s right folks, Reese’s Cups are getting the inception treatment by taking the classic flavors and stuffing them inside the new Reese’s Filled Pretzels. According to @targetgems on Instagram, the game-changing snack can now be found at Target in 9-ounce bags for $4.39.

Inside each bag, you’ll find nuggets of crispy crunchy pretzels filled with Reese’s iconic peanut butter filling and topped with a generous sprinkle of kosher salt. The only thing missing from these seems to be the chocolate, but you can easily whip up chocolate fondue and dip until your heart is content.

The reaction among fans was mixed in the comments with one saying, “They tasted nothing like Reese’s to me. Just regular peanut butter stuffed pretzels imo.”

Despite the naysayers, most shoppers said they “Have to try these!” and we emphatically agree. And who knows, maybe the brand will innovate again and dip these delectable morsels in chocolate, too. Here’s hoping!
