Target hours Christmas Eve 2024: Here's when stores open and close on Dec. 24

Christmas has arrived, which for millions of Americans means spending time with family, friends and loved ones, exchanging gifts, and eating delicious food.

Most grocery, retail and restaurant chains will remain open on Christmas Eve, albeit with adjusted hours, and most will shut their doors on Christmas Day.

If you need to make a last-minute run to the grocery store to pick up something for your holiday gathering, or need to do some last-minute Christmas shopping, Target will be an option for you this year. The company announced stores will be open on Dec. 24, but will close at 8 p.m. local time.

Target stores will be closed on Dec. 25, according to the news release.

What grocery stores are open on Christmas Eve?

In addition to Target, the following grocery stores will be open on Christmas Eve. Hours are listed for the companies that provided them.

  • Costco; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Home Depot; Stores will close at 5 p.m.
