Taco Bells Exciting New Dessert Menu Has Fans Begging for a National Rollout: ‘I’d Order Them All’

I remember exactly where I was the first time I took a bite of a caramel apple empanada from Taco Bell. Okay, that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but there’s no denying how delicious they are. It was my go-to sweet addition to those glorious spicy chicken tacos doused in fire sauce I used to be addicted to. Understandably, I was crushed when I discovered that both had been axed from the menu. It felt like losing a limb and my tastebuds have never been the same. Did I also mention I used to take acting classes?

Despite the drama of it all, Taco Bell has managed to claw back its status as a drool-worthy haven of flavor with buzzy new items making waves on social media every day. This year, they’ve been on a near constant tour de force of game-changing menu upgrades that might just shift the way we think about fast-food forever. Announcing new releases like the beloved Churro Chillers, their Caliente Cantina Chicken Menu and even a few eyebrow-raising collabs, the fan-favorite Tex-Mex chain doesn’t seem to be planning to slow down anytime soon.

Lucky for yours truly, they’ve even doubled down on changing the dessert game as well by bringing back my beloved Caramel Apple Empanada along with a flurry of exciting new offerings. According to the internet’s favorite snacker, @snackolator, Taco Bell announced a slate of new dessert releases at this year’s Live Mas Live event and we’ve got all the deets.

In addition to the Caramel Apple Empanada, hungry patrons can expect the Baja Blast Pie to begin popping up in stores around Thanksgiving this year, while the Salted Caramel Toffee and Pumpkin Spice Empanadas will only be available at Taco Bell test kitchens. There’s also the possibility that Ube Strawberry Cookies and Dulce de Leche Delights will find their way onto menus, but for now, they’re slated to be test kitchen exclusives as well.

As it turns out, many people were in the comment section with more than a few fans saying, “Can’t wait to burn my mouth beyond repair with a Carmel Apple empanada.” I must say, I emphatically agree.

We can’t see what else Taco Bell has up their sleeves this year. Maybe they'll even bring back my spicy chicken soft tacos. Here’s hoping!
