Sunrise's Edwina Bartholomew praised for honest parenting update: 'Needed to hear this'
"It takes time. Go easy on yourself."
Sunrise star Edwina Bartholomew has been applauded for her honest take on parenting and "bouncing back" after having a baby after uploading a selfie with an important caption.
Pictured in a pair of pinstripe pants with a light blue blouse, Edwina shared her mirror selfie noting that the expectations on women to get back to their pre-baby figures is 'impossible'.
"Anyone battling with the impossible standard of bouncing back after having a baby…I bought these pants in LA before I was pregnant with Molly," she captioned the Instagram post.
"Today - they fit again. FIVE YEARS LATER. It takes time. Go easy on yourself."
'I needed to hear this'
Edwina's honesty was met with resounding support as well as people sharing their own experiences.
"It takes time putting it on so of course it takes time taking it off," one person said. "Good on you for being patient and doing it healthily."
"You're a hard-working mum who has had two babies. We need to be more gentle and proud of our bodies for what they do for us," another person pointed out.
