Sunrise's Monique Wright walks off set live on air: 'Have to go now'
If you’re looking to stock up on champagne before Christmas, then you might want to get in fast, as it’s been revealed that there’s a shortage in Australia.
Edwina Bartholomew shocked the other hosts on Sunrise yesterday when she told them the news, saying: “There’s already a global shortage of French champagne due to supply chain issues, and now Dan Murphys and BWS have had to introduce buying limits.
“Top brand Dom Perignon is almost out of stock at most bottle shops, so each customer can only buy 12 bottles at any one time.”
Edwina turned to Monique Wright, who is filling in for Natalie Barr over the festive season, and said: “What are we going to do?”

Monique jokingly looked shocked and outraged over the news, saying: “I have to go now”.
“I’m gone,” she said as she got up from the desk and walked away.
Edwina couldn’t stop laughing at Monique, shouting after her: “Twelve at a time Mon, twelve at a time. Make sure you grab some for me.”
