Summer Kmart product that could save you $155: 'It's the best'
Shoppers are raving about a Kmart beach product that they say has given them "bang for their buck" and kept them sun safe.
If you're an Aussie beach-goer, there are a couple of hard and fast rules to stick by when getting down in the sand and surf: firstly slip, slop, slappin' and secondly, seeking some sort of shelter particularly when that sun decides to burn down on you in the hottest parts of the day.
While things like CoolCabanas have exploded in popularity over the years, with many now dotting the shorelines of popular Aussie beaches, not everyone wants to or can afford to fork out a casual $189+ for a beach shelter. And, sure, there's been many dupes of the CoolCabana for a lot cheaper, but some people are also happy with smaller shade options.
This was a debate that recently popped up in a Kmart shoppers group, with one person asking about Kmart's range of sunshades and asking for feedback on products ranging from $20 beach shades to Kmart's very own CoolCabana dupe that retails at $55.

If you're also after a beach shelter for a fraction of the price of bigger brands, then there was a lot of positive feedback on Kmart's range, with one particular product discounted to $34 getting rave reviews from shoppers, with that being the Hayden beach shelter which features 95+% protection and zip-up mesh windows.
"I got the Hayden one and it's the best. Used it like five or six times now," one person shared, with another saying, "I have the Hayden one... it’s great. Take it everywhere. Beaches, the park etc. Kids love it as well. They can lay down and have a rest when they tire out."
"We picked up the Hayden to use yesterday and it was perfect down the Gold Coast. We got it set up right before a bunch of rain hit and there was four of us plus my baby sheltered from the rain while it passed. Packing it up and down is quick and easy, it's small and light weight for transport. Bang for buck," another person recommended.

"We have two of them. Easy to put up and pack up. And a really good size," another said.
Others warned against the cheaper $20 pop-up shelter. "Do not get the pop-up one! You’ll never get it back down again……we threw ours in the bin," one person said with another saying, "The $20 one is painful to fold back up."
