Succession's Aussie star Sarah Snook welcomes her first child
On the night of the finale of Succession, Sarah Snook make the huge announcement.
Australian actress Sarah Snook has revealed she has welcomed her first child, just hours after the season finale of Succession aired.
The 35-year-old, who plays Shiv Roy in the highly acclaimed Binge series, took to her Instagram account to post a photo of her watching the finale, with her baby sitting on her lap.
“I just watched the final episode of the final season of something that has changed my life. And now, my life has changed again. Thank you for all the love and support,” Sarah wrote in the caption.
She started off the post by writing: “It’s hard to express what this show has meant to me. The places I got to go, the immense talent I got to work with…it breaks my heart that it is all over.

“But my heart had to be this full of all the memories, good times, challenges and triumphs, to be able to break at all…so that makes me grateful.
“To have been blessed to join this crazy adventure of a show will be a career highlight, which will no doubt be hard to top. I am so, so proud and humbled by everyone’s hard work season after season: we all set the bar high for each other, then exceeded it and excelled, in every department.
“The friendships, the scripts, the locations, the one liners, the early mornings, the last minute changes, all the highs and lows: I’m going to miss it all. The people of this show are a talented bunch, and I’m proud to have worked alongside them, it’s the people I will miss most of all.”
The Adelaide-born actress, who graduated from the Sydney National Institute of Dramatic Art in 2008, announced her pregnancy in March at the season 4 premiere of Succession In LA.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she said she couldn’t wait to welcome her bundle of joy into the world with her husband Dave Lawson.
“It's exciting!,” adding, “I feel great,” she said, revealing that she was 32 weeks pregnant at the time.
When Extra asked her if she’d learned anything about parenting from the controversial Roy family, the star responded: “What not to do as a parent. I don’t know if the Roy family are a paragon of family values. I don’t think we could be looking up to them for guidance.”
