Subway Turns Heads With Unhinged Easter Sandwich: 'Gone Too Far'

Subway's utterly unhinged sandwich in the U.K. for Easter recently resurfaced—and fans are all saying the same thing about the unique offering.

On April 13, food blogger Snackolator took to Instagram with a post about the fast food chain's Cadbury Creme Egg sub, which Subway gave out for free in 2023.

"This might violate just about all laws of nature," Snackolator declared in the update. "Subway had a new Cadbury Creme Egg SubMelt and it was *not* a late April Fools Day joke!"

In his caption, the food fanatic explained that in 2023, Subway handed out the Cadbury Creme Egg sub for free at four restaurants in the U.K.

"This was exactly what it looks like—a Subway sub roll filled with melted Cadbury Creme Eggs," he noted.

Snackolator also asked his followers if they would consider trying the "abomination that has gone too far." And folks in the comments were pretty all in agreement.

In the comments, Instagram users were not impressed with the Easter 2023 gimmick.

One declared, "Subway trippin," as another wondered, "Why would they do that."

"That looks disgusting," someone else shared.

A different follower bluntly replied, "Hell na."

"This makes my stomach hurt just looking at it," one confessed, as yet another echoed, "That sounds absolutely horrendous."

Thankfully, Subway has not brought back its Cadbury Creme Egg SubMelt since.
