Sting Returns to Stage After Health Scare, Joins Stevie Wonder in 'OMG' Performance

After a "throat infection" forced him to cancel an appearance and postpone three shows earlier this month, Sting returned to the stage to join his friend, Stevie Wonder, at the FireAid wildfire benefit concert this week.

The former Police frontman performed "Higher Ground" with Wonder at the benefit concert on Thursday, Jan. 30, getting a little help from Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers on bass.

“We have no time for blaming. We have no time for shaming,” he said. “We need to have prayer and come together as a united people of the world.”

Sting appeared to be in good health in a clip of the performance posted to Instagram by Billboard. On Wednesday, Jan. 22, the iconic singer thanked fans on social media for their support during his health crisis, explaining that he was "improving from a temporary throat infection" which "prevented" him from singing.
