Steve Kornacki Fans Are Already Going Wild for ‘Chartthrob’ on Election Day: ‘Talk Nerdy to Me’
Steve Kornacki and Election Day go hand in hand—and fans are counting on his real-time analysis in 2024.
After going viral for his coverage of the 2020 election (and his khaki pants from The Gap), Kornacki will be leading election coverage with the help of his "Kornacki cam" on NBC News and MSNBC once again this year, using his famous "Big Board." (In an interview with USA Today last week, Kornacki declined to confirm whether he'd be wearing khakis or not.)

No matter what kind of pants he chooses, Kornacki's viewers on social media made it clear that they were looking forward to watching the anchor do what he does best.
"Yesss #Chartthrob #VoteKamala," wrote one X user, sharing a photo of Kornacki standing in front of an election results map.

Commenters were more than ready to see Kornacki back in action as Kamala Harris faced off against Donald Trump on Election Day 2024.
"Talk nerdy to me," begged another fan.
"So excited!!!" raved someone else.
"Happy Steve Kornacki Eve! May your maps be colorful, your data be accurate, and your snacks be plentiful! Let's get ready for some serious number crunching!" gushed another person.
Not everybody planned to tune in, however.
"Today he was too excited about trumps polling numbers with men versus the V.P.’s with women and all but claimed a victory for trump. I don’t think I can watch him now," one X user complained.
"I change the channel every time I see him," somebody else agreed.
Before he joined MSNBC, Kornacki was the politics editor for Salon News. He's also the author of The Red and the Blue: The 1990s and the Birth of Political Tribalism, which breaks down the polarization of U.S. politics.
