"My stepdad’s been gone for two years, and I’m still getting hate comments…It’s just complicated and for no reason, because this is not just a social media gig, this is literally my life," she said of the situation.
Weslie touched on her relationship with Boss as she said, "Stephen was my person, Stephen was the person that raised me....That was my dad," while also talking about the effect the backlash could have on her younger siblings, Maddox and Zaia.
"I’m so sick of getting hate comments and seeing my mom get hate for literally losing the person that she loves," said Weslie. "And I have siblings. This is their dad...This is who they’re gonna grow up and they’re gonna see all this on social media, that’s so hurtful."

Weslie then went on to defend Holker against specific claims made by both fans and Boss' mother, Connie Boss Alexander.
She concluded her video by imploring to fans let them be, saying, “I’m not a person to sit up here and cry. I’m not going to be here and get emotional. But like, y’all could not just leave somebody passing away and leave the family alone?”
Many fans shared support for Weslie, her mother and the rest of her family in the comments, calling the teenager "brave" and sharing how "proud" they were of her.
