Directed by Arbel Kodesh, Going There follows Rachel (Yunger), a juvenile woman in her late twenties who steals her younger sister’s passport and all-expense-paid youth-group ticket to Israel to chase down her ex-boyfriend (Sulkin) in Tel Aviv. But after illegally entering the country, Rachel finds herself unable to escape her sister’s organized tour and is forced to become “Becca.” She quickly finds a nemesis in Mor (Saul), a stern IDF soldier who senses something is off about the imposter tourist and makes it her mission to stand in Rachel’s way.
The script, penned by Kodesh and Joshua Losben, received an award from the Rabinovitch foundation. Astral Future’s Co-Founder Matthew G.
