Now through the end August, you can experience a getaway like no other; I can assure you that, at the Rice Krispies Re-Treat Suite at Cape Cod! It’s literally a marshmallow world — in the summer!
The Re-Treat Sweet will take you on a trip down memory lane to enjoy summer like a kid again! It's loaded with all of your favorite Rice Krispies Treats, a candy bar where you can customize your own treats, fluffy, marshmallow-like blankets and pillows to build the perfect fort, Rice Krispies décor, and so much more to create a fun and nostalgic trip to top off summer!
See How Sweet It Is
I made the trip to the Red Jacket Beach Resort to see just how sweet it really is. The seaside resort is perfectly nestled on the beach in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts, perfect for a weekend escape. Once you step inside the suite, prepare to feel all kinds of nostalgia. Blue and white stripes cover the walls while plushy bean bags cover the floor of the living room. A shearling sofa is engulfed in fluffy pillows and cozy blankets where you can sit back and relax while you watch one of your favorite movies on the big projector screen.
And don’t worry about bringing snacks, those are already on hand! A Treat Yourself candy bar is decked out with Rice Krispies Treats and all kinds of candy. The coffee bar is also stocked with marshmallow coffee and Rice Krispies Treats coffee creamer, which I found was the perfect recipe for a delicious cup of coffee.
And if you’re bringing the kiddos, this spot is perfect for the fam! There’s an entire bundle of pillows, blankets, and tools to build the perfect marshmallow fort. Plus, Legos, coloring sheets, and a bracelet making station.
Step outside of the living area and onto the oceanfront deck to take in the scenery and the sound of the crashing waves. There are Adirondack chairs to lounge in, plus Rice Krispies themed cornhole and giant Jenga. You seriously won’t run out of fun things to do in these quaint quarters.
Now, let me tell you, the bedroom might just be my favorite part. A queen-sized bed that feels as soft as a pile of marshmallows makes for a great place to get some sweet dreams.
However, the real star of the show is the Treat Dream Bunkbed! While ideal for kids, I jumped on the top bunk and immediately felt like I was in heaven. Plush padding on the inside with comfy pillows and soft blankets make it the comfiest bunkbed I've ever lied on. And if you're a smaller sleeper, and by that I mean a child, you can slide down from the bunk directly into a Rice Krispies ball pit!
And don't feel like you have to leave the room to fetch a snack, the dressers are literally filled with different kinds of Rice Krispies Treats! Both bathrooms, one located in the bedroom and the other at the entrance of the living room, offer blue Rice Krispies towels, fluffy robes, slippers, and even marshmallow soap!
How to Re-Treat to the Suite
Now, let's get down to the details on how to actually stay here and why this is even happening. You may recall Eggo opening a giant Pancake House in Smoky Mountains. Similarly to that, it's perfect for a unique vacation destination that's going to offer you some sweet memories you'll likely never forget.

How does it work?
Arguably the best part of the suite is that it's completely free! Yes, you read that correctly. All you have to do is book your stay, pack your bags, and head to the Cape! Bookings will be awarded to a limited number of fans on a first-come, first-serve basis starting Monday, August 12. Different booking will open for different dates and are as follows:
Monday, August 12 at 12pm ET: August 16-18 open for booking
Wednesday, August 14 at 12pm ET: August 20-22 open for booking
Friday, August 16 at 12pm ET: August 23-25 open for booking
Monday, August 19 at 12pm ET: August 27-29 open for booking
Friday, August 23 at 12pm ET: August 30-September 1 open for booking
A few days on the Cape is a pretty dreamy way to send off summer. But it's going to be especially memorable when you stay somewhere as iconic as the Rice Krispies Re-Treat Suite. Wake up to the sound of the waves hitting the shore and have your morning marshmallow-coffee on the deck, soaking it all in. Wine and dine at some of the Cape's most delicious restaurants and retreat to the suite to put on one of your favorite movies from years-past and indulge in some of your favorite childhood desserts!
