Popular food blogger Markie_devo revealed on Nov. 26 that, beginning on Jan. 2, a new selection of seasonal beverages and food items will become available at Starbucks in the United States.

The influencer noted that the items are currently just speculated, and while the items have not been confirmed publicly by the coffee chain, other food bloggers, including TikToker CoffeePassport, have reported the same updates, citing Starbucks employees for the leaks.

According to the food influencers, Starbucks fans can expect several new drinks, including the cortado, which “contains 3 ristretto shots of Starbucks Blonde Espresso” with steamed whole milk. That drink will reportedly only be available in the short size. There will also be a brown sugar oatmilk version of the cortado, again only in the short size, that “contains 3 ristretto shots of Starbucks Blonde Espresso, brown sugar syrup, cinnamon powder and steamed oatmilk.”

The matcha is allegedly getting an update, as the “Matcha powder is completely unsweetened. It’s only sweetened with the classic syrup by default.” Baristas will also use a new technique to make the iced matcha latte, using a blender instead of a shaker.

The Pistachio Latte and Cream Cold Brew will reportedly return as well on Jan. 2. Over on the food side, fans can look forward to a Vanilla Bean Custard Danish, and a new menu item, the Spicy Falafel Pocket.

That item will be comprised of “Smashed falafel, creamy hummus, roasted red bell peppers, pickled onions and spicy herb sauce wrapped inside a toasted lavash flatbread,” say the food bloggers, and it will be accompanied by “B!tchin’ sauce Chipotle Almond Dip.”

Fans on social media were excited by the news, commenting that “This is the best drop I’ve been this excited for in a long time!!! Give me all of it!!” and celebrating the unsweetened matcha addition.
